Tony Ratcliffe, CFO joins Metalysis

Tony brings a wealth of experience gained in fast growth technology companies. Most recently Tony was Group CFO at Brady plc, an AIM listed metals and commodities software vendor, where he contributed to significant international growth over six years, led six acquisitions and delivered two share placings.

Previously, Tony was CFO at Gemini Genomics plc where he led their successful $450m Nasdaq IPO, raising $96m of new cash, then their subsequent merger with Sequenom, Finance Director at i2 Limited which enjoyed considerable growth leading to a merger with Choicepoint, realising some $100m in cash for shareholders.

Tony also established his own company, Consilium Financial Limited, undertaking various financial management projects for technology companies, including the execution of acquisitions, driving change management and business planning initiatives. Tony holds a BSc from the University of East Anglia, an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh and is a Chartered Accountant, having trained with KPMG.

55th General assembly of the Tantalum-Niobium International Study Center

Metalysis attended the 55th General assembly of the Tantalum-Niobium International Study Center in New York  USA on 12th October 2014. The main topics at this year’s conference were conflict minerals and the tantalum supply chain.

For the second time an election was held to appoint the TIC executive committee. The Metalysis candidate Mr Ian Margerison was elected  to the executive committee for the second time. He has been a member of the executive committee since 2009.
