
In 2003 seed capital was raised from Generics Asset Management
and the Cambridge University Venture Capital Committee. The Company
also received an Objective 1 grant to evaluate a move to South
Yorkshire which was implemented in September 2004.
In March 2005, Metalysis completed a £5m investment round co-led by Seven Spires Investments and 3i, along with a syndicate comprising Generics Asset Management, The Coalfields Enterprise Fund and Cambridge Capital Group.
In conjunction with European Union and government grant funding, the round is being used to continue the commercialisation of the FFC Cambridge process and is expected to see the Company through to a cash generative position.
