Prof Derek Fray BSc(Eng), MA, PhD, ARSM, DIC, FREng, FIMMM, FRSC, CEng.
Derek is Professor of Materials chemistry and Head of Department, Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy, University of Cambridge. He has published over 320 articles on materials processing, extractive metallurgy, sensors, and electrometallurgy in aqueous and molten salt media and is cited as the inventor on over 160 published patents.
He has been awarded several international awards and is a founder director of nine spin-off companies, all exploiting technology generated from his research work at Cambridge.
