Metalysis acquires QinetiQ Titanium Products
Metalysis announces the acquisition of QinetiQ’s (the leading defence and security technology company) venture business QinetiQ Titanium Products (QTP). The agreement, which sees QinetiQ receive a stake in Metalysis, will reduce the time to market of Metalysis’ products.
“QinetiQ has scaled the FFC Cambridge technology to the point where we can use it to produce a range of high value metal powders,” says Dr Graham Cooley, Metalysis’ chief executive. “Combining the QTP technology with our market access enables us to get to product launch more rapidly, and also consolidates the titanium production rights within Metalysis. Through this important acquisition, I am confident that Metalysis will be able to maximise the potential of its products and further grow its global business.”
