Metalysis secure Grant Funding

Metalysis are pleased to announce successful applications for GRAD and IFG grant awards to continue the commercialisation of the FFC Cambridge process at its facility in South Yorkshire.

The Grant for Research and Development (GRAD) award is for an Exceptional Project at a value of £500k. The grant, which is being administered by Yorkshire Forward, will be used to continue the scale-up of the FFC Cambridge technology and will run for a period of 12 months from July 2005. Grant for Research and Development provides grants to help individuals and small and medium-sized businesses research and develop technologically innovative products and processes. Exceptional Projects involve technology developments and projects that are likely to generate wide economic benefits, with strategic importance for a technology or industrial sector.

Metalysis have also recently been awarded an Invest For Growth Metals (IFG Metals) award of £180k to part fund the development of its tantalum technology. IFG Metals is a new scheme within the IFG suite of products specifically aimed at helping ambitious companies within the metals related sectors of South Yorkshire. The scheme is funded under the Objective One Programme for South Yorkshire, in association with NAMTEC and is administered by Business Link South Yorkshire (BLSY) alongside IFG2 and IFG F&T.
