The combined alloys market is enormous, presenting a range of excellent early opportunity for Metalysis’ technology.
The FFC Cambridge process has a number of advantages over existing production routes for the majority of alloys:
- Directly alloyed powder.
- Near net shape products in a directly produced alloy.
- Direct production of ultra pure alloys from mineral resources.
- Impossible (or difficult to melt) alloys.
Selected alloy products will be produced in-house at Metalysis at a state-of-the art facility in Rotherham, where the Company is headquartered, part funded by significant DTI and EU grants.
The Company has had an article published in the US journal, ‘Advanced
Materials and Processes’ which explains this technology
in more detail.
